Douggie was the heart of our group. She was a loving person whose kindness knew no bounds. Her radiant smile brightened the room, and her kind, passionate words warmed our hearts at every meeting.
We are truly honored and blessed to have known her and spent precious times with her.
She will be sadly missed, but the scriptures say, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Our Douggie is with the Lord.

Condolence: Dear Vanessa and Renee,

On behalf of the AFERM group let me pass our deepest condolences on the passing of our dear sister and friend, Mrs. Douglas ("Douggie" as we lovingly called her).

There’s no word that can express how sorry we are to hear about her death. We were very stunned to hear this news and still can’t believe that it really happened.

Douggie was a very thoughtful and wonderful person; an educator with a passion for early childhood education; and a great cook. We will never forget those trips, meetings, parties, conversations, debates, among others, we had with her, and we will always miss her "coquito" drink. She was an integral part of all our lives.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

We love you. Our deepest sympathies are with you. Please call us if you want someone to talk to during this tough moment and we will be there for you.
