Obituary for Gloria A Williamson

Losing someone you love is never easy to accept. We find ourselves searching for a reason for what happened and struggling to make sense of it. God may not give us all the answers we seek. Yet if we have faith, he will give us the love, strength, and courage to carry on. If we trust in him he will help us to find peace of mind.
Gloria Agatha Williamson, 75, of Bronx, NY, entered God's eternal care at on Sunday, December 8th surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria Williamson was born on May 14th, 1944 in Chapelton, Clarendon Jamaica W.I to parents of Ernest and Othalie Graham. She attended the Clarendon School district and was a seamstress by design and was a devoted mother to her six children. She married Keith Albert Williamson Sr., and was married for over 50 years.

She migrated to Bronx, New York, in1985 and began working for the Bronx Jewish Community Counsel as a Home Health Aide Attendant. She worked for this company for over 20 years; during this time Gloria worked and brought her husband and family to States to join her. Her children will forever remember her as a devoted, kind, gentle, patient and a loving mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams.

Gloria is survived by husband Keith Williamson Sr., “QuattyCap” as he is famously known. Children; Deaconess Cerene Williamson-Leslie (Clive), Charmaine Williamson, Sophia “Michelle” Williamson, Loraine Williamson, Keith “Junior” Williamson Jr. (Maureen), Special Step-daughter Sharon Williamson-Burrell; Sister, Pauline Binder (Gene) and Brother, James Graham. Fourteen Grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest Graham and Agatha Timson, daughter Dahlia Williamson-Jones, brothers Norman Jackson, Wesley Bartley and Giliford Graham.

She was dedicated in helping to raise her grandchildren and her favorite pass time was Wheel of Fortune and Wrestling.
