Life Story
Brittany Jasmine Brown was born February 9th, 1998 in Bronxville New York to Jacqueline Bryan and Verley Brown. She lived in the Bronx, relocated to Manhattan, and then to Yonkers, NY. As parents, we remember Brittany at a young age having music and rhythm in her soul, with a passion for singing, dancing, reading, drawing, playing, and conversing. We remember her as an infant going from standing to walking, I don't believe she liked to craw (she skipped that process).

Brittany attended the Hodge Podge pre-school at the age of two and upon completion, she attended The Cathedral School of Saint John the Devine for nine years,. She was committed member of the Cathedral Choir where she enhanced her passion for music. The Cathedral Choir afforded her the opportunity to travel to England where she sang at several grand Cathedrals, including St. Paul's in London. She was a head chorister on the Cathedral Choir. Her athletic participation at The Cathedral School included basketball, cross country, softball, track and field, and volleyball. She was awarded the Halley Cup of Excellence and Maturity in Visual Arts. She graduated from the Cathedral School in 2012, and attended Westover School for three years where she continued with her love of music. She sang in the Glee Club, Gospel Choir, Overtones and Chamber Choir. Her athletic contributions at Westover School included volleyball, basketball and outdoors. Brittany completed HS at Riverside High School as a National Honor Student in 2016.

Brittany continued her interest in music and decided to pursue music education at Albright College in Pennsylvania. There she participated in the college radio station as a DJ. Most recently, she was living in Moscow, Idaho, where she planned to continue her education at the University of Idaho. Brittany also enjoyed writing songs and composing music. She was also a talented artist who loved to sketch/draw. Brittany was a compassionate, intelligent, free spirited, strong-willed and creative young woman, an astute individual who loved and respected everyone regardless of their differences. She was a mature thinker who cared about the wellbeing of others. Brit, as we sometimes called her, lived life to the fullest and tackled the world with no fear.

She is survived by her parents, Jacquline Bryan and Verley Brown, siblings, Joli Brown and Jordan Brown, grandparents Bernella Bryan, Lilieth Brown and Verley T. Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
